My Story
The Driver
AMANI KINYUA
Amani Kinyua is a 14-year-old South African karting driver competing in the UAE IAME Series and the UAE Rotax Max Challenge with George Gibbons Motorsport. He began racing during South Africa's COVID lockdown, teaching himself on track and setting records at two Johannesburg circuits before joining a structured team.
Since moving to the UAE, Amani has secured multiple pole positions, race wins, and podiums across both series. He holds the Green Protea Jacket, a national honour recognising him as an official South African representative in professional sport.
One of the few Black African drivers competing at this level in the UAE, Amani is targeting the UAE Senior karting championship, European IAME and RMC rounds, and Formula 4 testing in the Middle East.
